Our Story

Missing Link Group is a boutique consulting firm originally founded in Belgium in 2004 by Christophe Robeyst, specializing in supporting water utilities, energy companies, and governments through complex Digital transformation programs. The team has built a deep expertise over the past few decades across intelligent industry, lean manufacturing, Industry 4.0, public governance, drinking water production and distribution, and utility operations.

The Group has guided numerous water and utility organizations in Belgium and the United Kingdom in deploying smart water, electricity and gas meters, while transforming meter-to- cash processes into modern, data-driven, high-efficiency systems. Their work spans the entire lifecycle of digital metering programs; from tender creation (incl. technical specs) over bid evaluations to pilot validation, project management, MDM implementation, and operational
optimization.

In 2022, the firm expanded internationally with the creation of Missing Link Morocco s.a.r.l., combining its proven Belgian expertise with local partnerships to support the early-stage strategic groundwork with the government for large-scale digital water metering initiatives across Morocco.

In 2024, Missing Link Group opened its regional office in Muscat, Oman, where it has played an instrumental role in shaping and delivering the country’s AMR program. Over the past two years, the company has supported the tender creation and bid evaluation process for the national smart water meter rollout and provided comprehensive program management for the deployment of more than 900,000 devices, building the MDM system and establishing
end-to-end alarm and event management to give utilities real-time visibility into operational performance.

Christophe Robeyst is the founder of Missing Link Group. He brings decades of experience in utility governance, programme management, and revenue assurance. He has worked with water utilities across Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East to establish independent governance frameworks that protect utility investments and ensure accountability.
